Sitting on the dock of the Bay...

Yesterday we arrived in San Fransico. Wooo.
It is such a beautiful city, if not a little hilly.
We went to Alcatraz today. And Haight Ashbrey. And played Kickball 3.5
with some college kids.
Kickball is like baseball, but you kick a large ball instead of
hitting a small one.
Oh, and you have to have half a beer (in a red cup! You know, like the
ones from the movies. Sometimes they are blue. But the best are red)
I drank beer out of a red cup. This is one reason why I came to America.

New Zealand was sweet by the way.
We jumped out of an airoplane at 12000 ft.
And Ken did a bungey jump.

Right, im off to bed before our trip to LA via Yosemitie, Vegas, Grand
Canyon etc.
Def a little Jet lagged.
Night all.

Surfing up the coast

Hey all,
We have arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, this afternoon after an
awesome time in Australia. A big "yeeeew!" to Mojo North surf crew!
Had a sweet time learning to surf up the coast.

Can't really write a big post as its pay-per-use internet. But we are
picking up a camper van tomorrow so won't have any internet for a the
rest of the week so I thought I'd add a few photos of surfing for you.

 Peaceout.

Kyoto, Singapore and Sydney

So we have been to 3 great cities in the past week or so.

Kyoto was amazing. Full of really nice temples and Japanese gardens.
Really enjoyed exploring the city by bike and we also spotted a couple
of Geishas, which was pretty cool. On the last night we had the best
meal of the trip so far. It was a Japanese hot pot and huge dumlpings.
The night was topped off witha few bears and some Uno.

We then went to Singapore which was really good. A pleasent suprise,
as I kind of only saw it as a stop over place. But it was really nice.
One day we touched a pink dolphin on Sentosa Island. Another we swam
with sharks and rays in the Aquarium. One night we met a couple of
Americas, Andy and Steve, who despite just seeing Anberlin play for
free (twice) told us about a ferry that goes from Singapore to
Indonesia, Or at least an island that is part of it, for like $30. So
we went over with them the next day and got hair cuts and a two hour
massage. It was awesome.

Now we are Sydney and even though the hostel isn't living up to our
expectations (it is litteraly a double bed and a chair, thats it) amd
it rained on the first day we are making the most of it. Today we
hired bikes and rode round Manly which had some amazing beaches and
great views. Tomorrow we are going to the zoo.

So, basically, we are both having an awesome time. Here are a few
photos too that Ken has just uploaded to Facebook.

A video for your enjoyment.

Here is a videos for you. It is this AMAZING game we found called
Jubeat Rhythm. It is basically like Guitar Hero or DanceDance
Revolution but you have a 4x4 grid of square buttons to hit in time to
the song. This video is Erica doing Scat Man which I think is a level
4/5. It goes up to 10. If I get a chance, I'll video playing a level
10. It is next level. Anyway, we have become addicted to this game.

PS. Apologies if the video is out of sink or anything. My camera isn't
the best for filming.

Down in Hiroshima

Two days ago we left Tokyo behind on a night bus to go and stay at
Erica's, Kens sister, in Iwakuni (it means Rock Country/Land) which is
outside Hiroshima. Despite being on a coach all night, we managed to
sleep the whole time. Probably due the ridiculous amount of walking we
did in Tokyo. Also staying at Ericas was Kens brother Adrian and their
friend Niko.

When we arrived, I was told we would be climbing a mountain. Which was
fine. Although I did have a big blister and swollen ankles. But I
powered through and it was well worth it. The views up and on the top
of this mountain where incredible! The mountain was Mt Misen which is
in Miyajima. Also in this area was a real famous temple called the
Itsukushima Floating Shrine. Which was beautiful. The tide was out so
we didnt see it in its full glory but it was still pretty awesome.

We then climbed the mountain, which was about 500m high. So wasnt too
bad. And we had some wild deer to keep us company. It was a beautiful
bit of creation.

On the way down, we stopped off at a little river that ran down the
mountain and we went for a wade. Which turned into a swim. But man, it
was well scenic. Really nice. There are a few pics of it below.

Today we went with everyone and Ken's mum to a famous restaurant
called Sanzoku. It was up in the mountains and the food was gorgeous.
We then to look around a few sites in Iwakuni and play in the
fountains. Good times.

Morning from Tokyo

Good morning from Tokyooo!

Ken and I have successfully arrived in Tokyo, found our hostel and
checked in. So far so amazing!

It is very hot in Tokyo. Very. Humid as well. But I am not complaining
at all! We arrived about 1pm Tokyo time to the hostel and after we
sorted ourselves out we went for a wander round. Both of us where
ridiculously tired from not sleeping on the plane but we needed to
push through to at least 6pm to get accustomed to the time.

So after speaking to someone in the hostel, we set out for the
Electric City. This is where they sell all the electrical stuff. So
seemed like a good place to start. It was apparently 10 min walk away.
After 25 min of walking we decided that we were lost. Good times. So
we spoke to someone who directed us to the place. By this time I could
just about keep my eyes open so we stopped off in McDonalds for the
largest coke ever and I had a 10min nap while Ken took photos of me
with silly things around.

After the nap we had a look round and it was great. Everything is
really loud. And fast paced. We went to one of the arcades and that
was insane! There was 6 or more floors covered with rows upon rows of
grown men playing computer games to a background of hard beat techno
music. It was bizarre to see.

 We will prob go back...

Then we went back to the hostel and faffed about till 7pm before
hitting the sack for a good nights sleep.

Today we are off the Imperial Palace and have a look at a few temples
and parks and stuff. Oh, and a Sumo Museum. Right after breakfast.

Will try and get some photos up soon.

 See ya!
